While wandering our camp we came across these guys a number of times. They are Rainbow Skinks. Very pretty.
We were scheduled to leave camp early morning for a flight to Harare, capital of Zimbabwe, followed by an afternoon tour of the city. However, the bush flights are subject to change based on the needs for getting various guests to the different camps. And our flight was rescheduled to mid-afternoon. Tara was not happy as that would end up canceling our city tour.
However, we eventually caught our small plane for an uneventful flight to Harare. Flying over the lake.

Highland House, our hotel here, doesn’t call itself a hotel but a guest house. And it really feels English colonial. Too bad we only have one night here. Will post photos tomorrow.
In the meantime,
Tara is a bit happier. She has arranged
for an early start tomorrow morning so that we can see at least a couple of the
major sights she wanted to see in Harare.
