We had a slow morning finalizing our packing and then took a shuttle to the airport where we caught our flight to Antananarivo (Tana for short), capital of Madagascar. An interesting sign at the airport...Firearm/Weapons Check-In. Guess there are those who go to Africa to go hunting so makes sense.
Mary’s lunch on the plane. The BBQ chicken was cold but tasty.
We were met at the Antananarivo airport by our transfer and were at the hotel by late afternoon. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. The neighborhood didn’t look the best for wandering around. Plus it didn’t look like there were many restaurants in the area.
The menu was a bit limited if one didn’t fish or zebu (a cow we have seen in Asia). But what we had was good.
