Our transportation was a half hour late this morning. Tara wasn’t happy. But eventually he arrived, and we headed off for a bit of a whirlwind tour.
A few photos from our drive around the city.
First stop was a national park it a bit of a run-down state. It was the Chiremba Balancing Rocks. Very interesting and some were very dramatic. Sort of like some of the balancing rocks seen in the American Southwest.
Next stop was the Shona Sculpture Gallery. Here many artists display their work. It is primarily stone carvings. Some very modern, some traditional and all very interesting.
Then it was to the airport for our flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. We settled into our hotel tonight, The Emperor's Palace. Apparently the owner visited Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and has recreated it here in South Africa. We will be here for a couple of nights.
